Shirley Jean Spells, 84, passed away on January 22, 2024 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mrs. Spells was born in Archer, Florida and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida.

She was of the Baptist faith and lifelong homemaker. She loved doing puzzles and word searches but most of all loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

Survivors include her children, Nora Ford (Charles) Netzband of Alabama, Harley (Lindsay) Spells of Alabama, Shirley Ann Spells, Pauline Spells, Rebecca Hannaford, Marie (Kelly) Hampton, Julie Spells, Michael Spells, and John Spells all of Fort Pierce, FL; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys L. Hart Watson and father, Charlie Edward Watson, son, Eugene Roy Spells, Jr., daughter, Lena Myers, sisters, Joy Ann White, Barbara Joynor, Betty Blade, and Judy Henderson, brother, Allen R. Watson, and grandchild, Fisher Newman.

Services:  Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.  Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
