Sondra Kay Plank, 66, passed November 8th, 2024, at Melbourne Regional Hospital after her battle with kidney disease.
She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on September 15, 1958, and moved to Florida in 1968 with her parents and siblings. She would then reside in Ft. Pierce, where she worked and raised her four kids, Larry Marlow, Zach Tucker, Samantha Plank, and Nathan Plank. Everything she did was for her kids. She lived for her kids. No conversation was left without mentioning them at least once.
Later, her family would grow with seven grandchildren: Dillyn Marlow, Emma Mascenic, John Mascenic, Lilly Mascenic, Maddie Plank, Atlas Plank, Nova Plank and one great grandchild, Maison Marlow. To them, she was GaGa, and to her, they were her world. She would also gain three daughters-in-law: Melissa Tucker, Andrea Plank, Anita Kelly, and one son-in-law, Doug Mascenic.
Sondra would precede in death by her parents, Lawrence Sloane and Marilyn Sloane, her sister, Rachel Mullins and her brothers, Larry Sloane and James Sloane.
Leaving behind her surviving siblings, Lisa Smith, Tina Burchfeild, John Sloane, and Wanda Simmons.
Sondra was a fiery soul who lit up the room with her humor and sass. If you weren't laughing when you showed up, you were laughing when you left. Sondra was someone who was always quick to help you at your low, without ever expecting anything in return. Always having her door open because she believed everyone deserved a place to go. Family was a big part of her life. She loved holidays, family gatherings, and talking about memories. Memories reminded her of the life she built. Never forgetting a birthday and always calling to remind them on that day. Her presence will truly be missed by all who got to know her throughout her years.
