He was born in Newark, New Jersey, and has been a resident of Fort Pierce since 1982, coming from Hollywood and previously from Lindenhurst, New York.Stanley was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, SASA and Stephen Ministry, St. Lucie Model Boat Club, Sons of Norway, past president of Lindenhurst Kiwanis Club, Lindenhurst, New York, served with the Golden Lyons 106th Infantry Division of the US Army during WWII and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.Survivors are his wife, Thelma Isaksen of Fort Pierce; son and daughter-in-law, Stanley J. Isaksen, Jr. and Mildred Isaksen of New Suffolk, NY; daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Phillip McCool of Atlanta, Ga; stepdaughters, Amanda Furlow of Selbeyville, Del. And Marcia Enck of Kissimmee, Fl, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by wife Jenny Isaksen and son Robert Isaksen.
