Stephen R. Hillardt, 58, died September 4, 2010, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Stephen was born in Brooklyn, New York and was a resident of Homestead, Florida.
He was a surveyor by trade, was a nuclear security guard in Homestead and recently became a Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA). He enjoyed reading, canines and was a sponsor of children abroad.
Survivors include his fiancée, Gloria Knutsen of Homestead, her son Clifford, a sister, Debbie Becker of Port St. Lucie, FL and several nieces and a nephew also of Port St. Lucie, FL.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 17th at 10:30 AM at Laurel Point Health & Rehabilitation Center, 703 South 29th Street, Fort Pierce, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to canine charities or Hospice of the Treasure Coast. A Memorial Service will also be held on Sunday, September 19th at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church of Homestead, 622 N.Krome Avenue, Homestead, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
