Mr. Smith was born in Syracuse, New York and moved to the Treasure Coast 20 years ago.
He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Sonja Smith of Vero Beach, FL; sons, Tim and Ricky Corliss both of Arizona; daughters, Tamara Dougherty of Palm Bay, FL, Samantha Smith, Kayla Smith, and Daphne Smith all of Jupiter, FL; father, Fred Smith of Vero Beach, FL; mother, Patricia Newkirk of Ft. Pierce, FL; brother, Steven Smith of Ft. Pierce, FL; sister, Chrissy Smith of Ft. Pierce, FL; grandchild, Jordan “Baby J” McDonald.
Services: A private memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
