Susan Elizabeth Altwater Kreiser, age 74, died peacefully in her home with her family by her side on August 11, 2015.
Susan was born on March 1, 1941 in Buffalo, New York. She graduated from, Pine Crest Preparatory School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, attended University of Florida, Gainesville. On a professional level, Susan early on was an avid artist, realtor, and business entrepreneur. Susan married her high school sweetheart, Jerry, and was married for 52 years. Over time, the couple welcomed four children, Christine, Michael, David and Daniel into their lives. Susan was involved in her children’s lives through her many leadership roles in church, school, and scouting activities.
She was an active and very dedicated member of the St. Bernadette Catholic Church from its beginning to date and gave of her time and contributions to not only the church but many other worthwhile causes. Her many church interests included; Council of Catholic Women, Martha’s Hand, Bible study, spiritual retreats, and was trained to be a Eucharistic minister. Being a member of the Red Hats Society and her monthly book club brought her personal enjoyment.
Her family and friends remember her as kind, strong, happy, and God loving woman who encouraged us to love with all of our hearts. Susan will continue to inspire all of us with the happiness and strength she brought to each and every person that was lucky enough to know her.
Susan is survived by her husband Jerry Kreiser; children Christine Kreiser Bell and Daniel Kreiser; loving sister Carol Altwater Roszell; daughter-in-law, Dr. Angela Compton; son-in-law, Cal Harris; and grandchildren Katie and Allie Porter, Clarissa Bell; Tara, Rachel, Lucas, and Dana Kreiser, and Jackie Leibowitz. She is predeceased by her two sons Michael and David Kreiser; mother Lorraine Altwater Sutkus, father John Peter Altwater; and her sister Nancy Weisacosky.
In lieu of flowers the family has suggested donations to Treasure Coast Hospice, 5000 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.

A visitation will be held at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce on Friday, August 14, 2014 from 5-8 PM. A Mass Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 9:00 AM at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie, FL. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Susan’s life. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
