SUSAN MARIE MASCARA
Susan Marie Mascara, age 80, died on July 16 in Fort Pierce, FL. She was born in Bentleyville, PA and moved to Fort Pierce in 1975 coming from San Jose, Costa Rica.
She was a quality control manager for Lovable Brassiere Company for 25 years, was the owner of The Deli Shack in Port St. Lucie 1976-1982 and then the Library Teen Center 1982-1990. She was a licensed beautician 1990-2000, working at Jenny’s Silver Scissors and most recently worked at Port St. Lucie Lanes. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Lucie Catholic Church, loved to bowl and loved spending quality time with the grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, John M. Mascara of Fort Pierce; son, Ken J. Mascara of Fort Pierce; brother, Theodore Hrutkay of Bentleyville, PA; sisters, Cil Damich of Bentleyville, PA and Mary Machoj of Virginia Beach, FL and 2 grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Lucie Catholic Church Building Fund, 425 SW Irving Street, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, July 20, from 1-3 PM and from 5-7 PM, with a Wake Service at 7 PM at St. Lucie Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, July 21 at 10:00 AM at the church. Haisley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
