Sylvia Jean Shearer, 77, died May 1, 2015 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Shearer was born in Fellsmere, Florida and was a lifelong resident of the Treasure Coast.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, going out with lunch buddies, crafting, and decorating her home, but most of all, spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Carol and Newell Blankenbaker, Michelle Kurth and the late Preston Kurth, Rick Shearer, and Jeani Shearer; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Shearer, Sr., parents, James Cleve & Beatrice Gore, brothers, Alva Gore, Vernon Gore, Lonnie Gore, sister, Josephine Drawdy, and son-in-law, Preston Kurth.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 5000 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.
