Theano Cavooris

Theano Cavooris, 91, died February 8, 2006 at Emerald Rehabilitation Center in Port St. Lucie.She was born in Athens, Greece. She was the daughter of General George and Elizabeth Zolotas. She moved to Port St. Lucie from Flushing, New York nine years ago.She was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Fort Pierce and of the Ladies Philoptochos.
She was a retired member of the Ladies International Garment Union and worked in the garment center in New York for 45 years for numerous internationally known fashion designing companies.She was preceded in death by her husband, Constantine (Gus) Cavooris and daughter, Elizabeth Leon.Survivors include her daughter, Georgia Hedgis of Evans, GA; son, George Cavooris of Port St. Lucie, FL; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews in Athens, Greece.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 2525 South 25th Street, Ft. Pierce, FL 34981.
