Thelma Josephine Barnes, age 78, died on August 4, 2009 in Fort Pierce, FL. She was born in Cottondale, FL, and moved to Fort Pierce in 1947, coming from Panama City, FL.
She is survived by her daughters; Sherry A. Myers of Prattville, AL, Linda F. Schwerer of Port St. Lucie, FL, her sons; Duane A. Barnes of Okeechobee, FL, Jim L. Barnes of Fort Pierce, FL, her sisters; Luverne Hallford, Lisha Creamer, Vera Merle Corbin, Shirley Howard, all of Panama City, FL her brothers; Bill Sapp, Herman Sapp, Edward Sapp, Lou Allen Sapp, all of Panama City, FL; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tully G. Barnes.
Friends may call on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Haisley Funeral Home Chapel from 5-7 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at 11 AM. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
