Theodore "Ted" Williams

Theodore Williams, 84, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away October 17, 2024 in Jupiter, FL.

Ted was born November 4, 1939 in Perth-Andover, Ontario, Canada to Archie and Addie (Grant) Williams, he was the youngest of their 13 children.

Ted was a professional boxer and jockey. After leaving the professional world of jockeying, he used his talents with horses to become a thoroughbred horse trainer until he officially retired. The love of horses and horse racing was not just a career it was a passion.

Ted, affectionately known by many as Teddy, also loved playing cards and going to classic, vintage car shows. He loved going to the beach and casino whenever he could find the time. Ted’s favorite way to pass the time was with a morning cup of coffee outside. He loved animals, with a special fondness for dogs and horses.

Ted was the beloved father of son, Brandon Williams and daughter, Brooke Williams both of Florida, sons, Ted and Timmy Williams of Canada. He will be missed by his sister Joyce of Canada as well as his beloved grandchildren.

 He was predeceased by his brother, Ansel, sister, Christina, brother, Floyd, sister, Vivian and daughter, Tammy.
