Thomas A. Donaghue, 72, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away on November 27, 2020.
Thomas was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to Thomas and Margaret Donaghue on November 13, 1948.
Thomas graduated from Madison Township High School in Old Bridge, New Jersey, he joined the United States Army and served proudly from 1966 until 1972.
Thomas was a combat veteran who served two tours in Vietnam from 1967-69. He served with the 1st Infantry Division Recon unit during the Tet offensive of 68. Thomas was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart. Like many veterans, he took the war home with him and had trouble finding peace in this world. We believe he found it now.
Survivors include; son, Patrick Donaghue of Colorado; daughter, Stacy Smith, New Jersey; sister, Margaret Mctague; brothers Terrence Donaghue of New Jersey, Kevin Donaghue of Delaware, Michael Donaghue of New Jersey, and Gerald Donaghue of New Jersey; grandchildren, Deanna Forst, Earl Darren Potterton, and Allysa Dunkin.
Family will schedule a memorial service at a later date.
