Thomas A. Driscoll, 91, of Fort Pierce, died April 19, 2016. Born in Portsmouth, Ohio, his family moved to Fort Pierce in late 1925.
Following graduation from St. Anastasia High School, he served in the 99th Infantry Division and was awarded the Bronze Star and the Combat Infantryman Badge.
He joined the Florida Bank of Fort Pierce in 1946, worked as an accountant for American Fruit Growers and joined First Federal Savings of Fort Pierce in September 1952. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 1960 and became President and CEO April 1, 1962, serving to June 30, 1976 and remained with the Association as a Senior Vice President and Director until May 1983 when he retired.
He was active in the community and was Treasurer of Fort Pierce Memorial Hospital for 3 years; Deputy Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus; 1st Vice President of Fort Pierce Jaycees, and a Former President of the United Fund, the Rotary Club of Fort Pierce, the Fort Pierce-St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce, the Fort Pierce-St. Lucie Library Association and Chairman of the Salvation Army Advisory Board. He also served as St. Lucie County Chairman in 1970 and 1976 for Lawton Chiles Senatorial Campaign and on the American Red Cross Board.
During retirement, he was a volunteer in Lawnwood Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include his, sons Michael J. Driscoll (Connie) of Ft. Pierce, Thomas A. Driscoll, Jr. (Denise) of Vero Beach, daughters Mary Gammon (Chuck) of Gainesville, GA, Donna Senkarik (Bob) of Naples, FL, Joyce Braun (Bill) of Port St. Lucie, Teresa Nichols (Mark) of Marietta, GA, 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his wife Dorothy Driscoll, daughter, Jean Louise and son, Patrick F. Driscoll.

Services: Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00PM with wake service at 8:00PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00AM at St. Marks Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
