Thomas Wayne Vogan
Tom W. Vogan, 75, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 31, 2023.
Tom was born in Meadville, PA on April 3, 1948 to Wayne and Mildred Vogan. After graduating from Meadville High School in his home town, Tom joined the United States Marine Corps. Tom was honorably discharged as a Staff Sargent (E-6) after serving in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969. He worked for the Millwright Power Plant doing construction. After taking courses in Air Conditioning in Erie, PA, Tom started working with A.Cs privately and for St. Lucie County.
Tom enjoyed Trap Shooting at gun ranges, and he was an accomplished bowler at Port St. Lucie Lanes. His real passion was for boating and fishing. Tom loved being the “special handyman” for his loving wife, Rose, because he was “the best all around the house.”
Tom was a member of Calvary Chapel of Port St. Lucie and spent time supporting them any way he could.
Survivors include his dear wife, Rose of Port St. Lucie, FL; sisters, Tina Hovis and her husband Gary of Port St. Lucie, FL and Patricia Woodruff and her husband Robert of Georgia; niece, Cappy Seidl of Georgia and nephew, Robert Woodruff Jr of Georgia; aunt, Marge Vogan of Pennsylvania and cousins, Donald, Larry, and Garry Rarer of Pennsylvania. He will also be missed by his stepchildren, Geri Wellmon and husband Kevin, Tracy Bowling and husband Roy and Gary Walls; and 3 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren, and 1 step-great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Mildred and Wayne, brother, Robert Wayne Vogan and uncle, Robert May.
A gathering will be held on Wednesday, September 20th from 12PM to 3PM with a Celebration of Life to start at 1:00PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984.
