Tim Jones

Timothy Ray Jones, 61, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida passed away June 18, 2017 in Lake Worth, Florida.

Mr. Jones moved to Port Saint Lucie, Florida 6 years ago coming from Round Lake Beach, Illinois.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Tim did all he could to care for and help those around him. He was a mentor to many on a number of subjects. From staying up late to help his children or family friends with math homework (a specialty of his) even though he may have been across the country or traveling for work, to teaching telecom newcomers the tricks of the trade, he was always helping someone somehow. Although he sometimes liked to play it off as though he was being "volun-told" to help, everyone around him knew he loved being involved and thrived on being a reliable resource to those who needed him. He loved to help with his youngest son's football league (PSLAA Football & Cheer) and made sure to take the time out to practice with him, even when that meant losing a few t-shirts to tackles by his son. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, always looking for an opportunity for a ride, including his grand escape with his wife Carol after their wedding. He also loved singing songs and being silly with his youngest daughter.

Although not an engineer by trade, he was an inventive force in the telecom industry. He had a brilliant mind and entrepreneurial spirit that spurred many great ideas to improve the industry and resulted in his ownership of several companies over the years.

To his wife and children, he was known as a rock that would not falter, a man that would support them unconditionally, and a provider that would do anything in his power to ensure they had everything they needed.

Survivors include wife of 22 years, Carol Ann Jones of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; son, Chad (Sara) Jones of Waukegan, Illinois; daughter, Jennifer (Harold) Siguenza of Peoria, Arizona; son, Joe Jones of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; daughter, Krystina Jones of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; grandchildren, Olivia and Evan Siguenza of Arizona; brothers, Tom Jones of Waukegan, Illinois, Carl Powell of Phoenix, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 2PM – 4PM with a service starting at 4PM and a reception to follow the service. at Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port Saint Lucie, Florida 34984.
