Timothy Morris Reardon
Port St Lucie, FL (formerly of Endicott, NY)
June 28, 1947 to March 22, 2024
Timothy M. Reardon returned to the Lord on March 22, 2024, with a rosary in hand and family by his side. Tim is a native of Endicott, NY where he spent most of his life. He graduated from Seton Catholic Central high school (1965) and Siena College (1970) in Albany, NY.
Tim was predeceased by his parents Charles and Jean Reardon, sister Charlene “Muff” Reardon, brother J. Patrick Reardon, father and mother in-law Thomas and Nora Golden, brother in-laws Donald Fairchild, Donald Purtell, James Golden, Lawrence Golden, Thomas Golden, and brother and sister in-law Stephen and Catherine Hundiak. He is survived by his wife Margaret “Peggy” Ann Golden of 54 years, brother Francis (Suzanne), brother John, sister in-laws Mary Fairchild, Norene Purtell, Carmelina Golden, and brother in-law Leo Golden. Tim has 4 children (Brian (Jacqueline) of New Mexico, Kevin (Gina) of Maryland, Molly Butler (Jared) and Bridget Redmond (Michael), both of Florida), 8 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who he loved very much.
Tim met the love of his life, Margaret “Peggy” Ann Golden of Friendsville, PA, while working at the Endicott Trust Company and they married in 1969. He worked for the Endicott Trust Company and M&T Bank for 28 years and spent an additional 11 years with the Broome County Real Property Tax division. He always had a good joke, sage fatherly advice, a thoughtful story, or comments on the weather. Tim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and an active member of the community. Tim enjoyed rooting for the New York Yankees and spending time in his garden. He ran a bookkeeping business where he prepared taxes and went above and beyond to provide financial advice to clients, friends, and family. Tim and Peggy moved to Port St Lucie, Florida in 2017 to be closer to family and sunshine.
Volunteering was important to Tim, and he served in numerous capacities with the Jaycees, Lions Club of West Corners, the Endwell Rotary Club, the Endicott Water Board, the Knights of Columbus (Fourth Degree), and Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Upon moving to Florida, he started the Big Apple Ministry at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church to provide school supplies to families in need. Tim will be missed by all.
A funeral mass will be held April 9th at 10:00am at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Tim’s name to Treasure Coast Hospice at 5000 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981, or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7)
