U.S. “Sam” Church, 89, died November 17, 2007 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.Mr. Church was born in Kemper, South Carolina and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1975 coming from Kure Beach, North Carolina.
He was the owner of a motel and a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.Survivors include his wife, Sara Church of Ft. Pierce, FL; son, David E. Church of Inman, SC; sisters, Mae Thompson of Lake View, SC, Mildred Smith of Roxboro, NC and Kathleen Mullis of Greenville, SC; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of White City, 903 W. Midway Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34982.Services: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 from 9-10 AM with a service to follow at 10:00 AM at Haisley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
