Velma Faulkner, 95, of Fort Pierce entered her heavenly home March 30, 2013.
She was born in Draketown, Georgia on November 20, 1917 to Alma and Elton Morris. She moved with her family to Vero Beach, Florida in 1923. She had twelve brothers and sisters.
While working in a laundry in Vero Beach she met Willie E. Faulkner. They were married December 18, 1936 and moved to Miami. She moved to Ft. Pierce December 1999.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker and had many hobbies including cooking, gardening, crocheting and quilting. She was a member of White City United Methodist Church and loved her family and her church and her friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Freeman of Bainbridge, GA and daughter, Billie Jean Davis and son-in-law, Isom J.L. Davis of Ft. Pierce, FL; and three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister, Vera Barkwell of Ft. Pierce, FL; brothers, A.C. Morris and Lasker Morris; sister, Priscilla Albrecht of Vero Beach, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Willie E. Faulkner, sisters, Belle Finley and Louise Brewster and brothers, Herman Morris, Grady Morris, Gene Morris and James Morris and two infant brothers.

Services: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 2:30 PM at Lauderdale Memorial Gardens.
