Vernon Mack Harrison, 78, died May 22, 2009 in Stuart, Florida.
Mr. Harrison was born in Barnise, Texas and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1971 coming from Altus, Oklahoma.
Mr. Harrison retired from Indian River State College after 14 years of dedicated service. He proudly served and retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Dorchester Lodge in Charleston, South Carolina, Air Force Sergeants Association and a lifetime member of the American Legion and the VFW.
Survivors include his son, Vernon Bradley Harrison of Miramar, FL; daughter, Shanna Gentry of West Palm Beach, FL; brother, Teddy Harrison of Amarillo, TX and 3 grandchildren, Adam Harrison & fiance Aleyda Pajon, Britiney and Skler Gentry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Kirby-Harrison and sisters, Jimmie Galbreathe, Joan Drake and Karol Campbell.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
Services: A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Treasure Coast Hospice Gazebo, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service. A guest book may be signed at www.haisleyfuneralhome.com
