Veronica Lynn Paganucci, 59, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2016 at Fort Pierce Hospice after 5 years of fighting lung cancer of which she never smoked.
Veronica was a native of Fort Pierce, Florida.
She was a graduate of Fort Pierce Central High School, Class of 74’. She worked in finance and was a manager of CitiBank Auto in Port Saint Lucie for 29 years until 2009. She then worked for Scripps Treasure Coast until 2011 when she was diagnosed. She was an active member of The Crossings Community Church. Veronica loved the beach and to travel, even before we decided where we were going that suitcase was already at the front door. But most of all, Veronica loved everyone. Some would say she’s my oldest and best friend and that was from the ones that she just met yesterday. The rest of her friends just knew they loved her and she would give it back twice as much. She also would ask what she could do for them before they could ask her the same and that was just a few days ago. She was all about family and had more than enough love to go around for her husband of 32 years (Pag), her son, Michael Shawn Lewis, her mother Ethel Lewis (to whom they would still have weekly slumber parties at her house), sisters, Diane (Mike) Bryant, Pam Lewis of Jacksonville, her twin brothers, Jackie Lewis and John Lewis of Holiday, Florida. She also left 3 nephews, 2 nieces, and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
She was predeceased by her father, Arvel Lewis Jr.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heathcote Botanical Gardens, 210 Savannah Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34982 or American Cancer Society.
