Verwayne Leslie “Curley” Owen, 76, died May 5, 2008 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.Mr. Owen was born in Midland, Michigan and moved to Port St. Lucie in 1994 coming from Maryland.He worked 27 years of dedicated service with United Airlines and retired as a Captain. He graduated from Fork Union Military Academy, proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and enjoyed a lifetime of aviation and sailing.Survivors include his wife of 57 years, BeBe Owen of Port St. Lucie, FL and daughter, Pamela (Peter) Torell of Port St. Lucie, FL.Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospices, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church.
