Vince Bruno, 89, passed away on July 11, 2021 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Mr. Bruno was born on December 8, 1931 in Torrington, Connecticut to Daniel and Gina Bruno.
Vince served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for Goodyear and retired after 28 years of service then went on to work at St. Lucie Battery and Tire where he later retired for a second time.
After retirement, Vince and Katie spent summers in the mountains at their home in Clayton, Georgia. Vince’s “hobby” was taking Katie on many adventures to antique shops always looking for that special addition to Katie’s chicken and rooster collection.
He loved telling great jokes, growing beautiful orchids, fixing things, and helping others.
Survivors include his stepdaughter, Pam (Steve) Feltus of Fort Lauderdale, FL; brother, Joseph Bruno of Narragansett, RI; nieces, Doreen (John) Cellerino of Winchester Center, CT and Lucille Rovnak of North San Juan, CA; nephews, David (Lisa) Bruno of Narragansett, RI and Dan DiPippo, Oroville, CA; great-nephews, Keith Paul of Torrington, CT, and David Bruno II of Narragansett, RI; great-niece, Erika Bruno Jachimczyk of Lincoln, RI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Gina Bruno, wife of 28 years, Katie Bruno, and sister, Marie DiPippo.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
