Violet C. Vi Terpening

Violet "Vi" Theodora Carlson Rustad Terpening, 90, passed away on February 20, 2006.Mrs. Terpening was formerly of Saugerties, New York, and the daughter of Theodore Sr. and Rosalie Carlson. She was a resident of Port St. Lucie, Florida.Violet was a civil service worker for the Ulster County Clerk's Office, Kingston, New York, an artist in oil painting and a crafts person. Vi was a resident of Spanish Lakes I since 1975, and served 10 years for Spanish Lakes Security. She also played shuffle board and bocce in Spanish Lakes I.Violet is survived by a sister, Rosalie Heitzman; brother, Theodore Carlson, Jr. and sister-in-law, Dorothy Carlson; 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 great, great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. Vi is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Herbert Rustad and Harold Terpening; sons, James Alan Rustad and Harry Colin Rustad; and, sister, Cecelia Axon.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Southeast Florida, 2701 North Australian Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407.
