Virginia Inez (Monks) Petrell
Virginia Inez (Monks) Petrell, 94, died July 31, 2011 at Treasure Coast Hospice of natural causes.
Virginia was born in Weymouth, MA on May 2, 1917 to parents George and Inez (Calloway) Monks and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida and summered in Plymouth, MA calling both home.
Virginia married and was loving wife of Charles Francis Petrell, Sr. of 32 years who died in 1970. She went on to become homemaker and mother of five children.
She was predeceased by her sister in law, Barbara Monks, her brothers, Richard, William and George, Jr., as well as her sister, Elizabeth Werner.
She is survived by son, Charles Francis Petrell, Jr. and 4 daughters, Doris Elizabeth Garrity, Linda Amelia Pederzani and Patricia Ann Howe and Susan Marie Parry also, her brother, Robert Monks. Virginia left behind nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, also her Caretakers, Beverly Blevins and Tracy Buffington and her dear friend and dancing partner, Debbie Lacroix as well as many other friends. Virginia attended BU Sargent College Health and Science Services. She was a member volunteer of her favorite charity, United for Animals of Ft. Pierce, FL. Virginia filled her days with the love of her family and dear friends. She enjoyed many years of travel, painting, reading, scrapbooking, writing prose, she loved all animals and most of all she loved to dance.
