Virginia Marie Rhodes

Virginia Marie Rhodes, 84, died July 17, 2008 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.Mrs. Rhodes was born in Hagerstown, Maryland and moved to Ft. Pierce over 40 years ago from Maryland.She was President of the Treasure Coast Art Association for several years and was also voted Woman of the Year in 2007. She also ran the On the Green Art Show as well as the Backus Art Festival for several years. She owned and operated D. Rhodes Studio at 229 Avenue A in Fort Pierce, Florida. She was well loved and will be greatly missed by all.Survivors include her husband of over 60 years, Donald Rhodes; daughters, Diane Sides and Debbie Colon; son, Donald Alan Rhodes; two sisters and one brother; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Art Association, 223 Avenue A, Fort Pierce, FL 34950.Services: Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21, 2008 from 2-3 PM with a service to follow at 3:00 PM Haisley Funeral Home.
