Walter was born in Cardington, Ohio and was a resident of Fort Pierce since 1993, coming from Perrysville, Ohio.
He was a pipe fitter in the steel mill industry.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Bonnie Hurrell of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter, Tanya Newcomer of Fort Pierce, FL; sons, Keith Hurrell of Vero Beach, FL, Kevin Hurrell of Cape Coral, FL, Randy Hurrell and Troy Hurrell both of Perrysville, Ohio; and six grandchildren.
There are no services planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
