Warren Earl Durham, 87, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb.12, after battling several illnesses over the past year. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Frances; two children, Cindy Musgrave (husband Mark Musgrave) and Rusty Durham (wife Pattie Durham) all of Fort Pierce; four grandchildren, Marcie Montalto, Jesse Musgrave, Mary Higgs, and Crystal Durham; four great-grandchildren, Addison, Brady, Grace, and Emily; two brothers, Sam and Ronnie Durham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Warren was born in Fort Pierce in 1937 and graduated from Dan McCarty High, Class of 1955. After graduation Warren enlisted in the United States Army for four years and was stationed in Germany as a helicopter mechanic. Warren was a hard worker who held several jobs stateside, many at the same time to provide for his family. These included positions at Mayflower Moving, Rudd’s TV, and Golden Harvest Fruit. He was a Fort Pierce Police Officer for 14 years. He also worked for Ebasco Services, building the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant, and eventually retired from FP&L as a Nuclear Operator.
Warren was a member of Midway Road Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who always put his family first. A Celebration of Life will be held at Midway Road Baptist Church in Fort Pierce on Saturday, March 22, at 11:00 a.m.
