Mr. Nelson was born in Queens, New York and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1970 coming from New Jersey.
He was a supervisor for Pratt Whitney and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jacquelyn Nelson of Ft. Pierce, FL; sisters, Ethel Kelly and Helen Smith both of Ft. Pierce, FL; brother, Robert Nelson of New York; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Sherwood and Arthur Nelson.
Service: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from 1-2 PM with a service to follow at 2:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
