Wayne Allen Scambler, 68, died September 13, 2006 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.Mr. Scambler was a lifetime resident of Ft. Pierce, Florida.He was a retired Captain from the Sheriff’s Department; founder of the Sheriff’s Department Rescue Dive Team, founder of the Sheriff’s Department Drug Task Force and was one of the first beach life guards.Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Barbara Scambler of Ft. Pierce, FL; mother, Norma Scambler; daughter, Sherrie Castagnoli of New York NY; step-daughter, Kimberly Acquaro of Waynesville, NC; son, Mark A. Scambler of Ft. Pierce, FL; step-son, John E. Kowalski, Jr. of Northport, FL; brother, Glenn Scambler of Tequesta, FL; 1 granddaughter and 2 step-granddaughters.
