Werner Vahlsing, 84, died May 21, 2015 in Stuart, Florida.
Mr. Vahlsing was born in Astoria, New York and moved to Port St. Lucie 11 years ago coming from Connecticut.
Prior to retirement, he was a supervisor for a telephone company and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ruth Vahlsing of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughters, Aleta (Howard) Salkin of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Lianne (Daniel) Leek of Georgia; son, William (Janice) Vahlsing of New York; brother, Erwin Vahlsing of Port St. Lucie, FL; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Vahlsing.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 4:00 PM at New Apostolic Church, 4025 SW Savona Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34953.
