Wilbur Smith

Wilbon "Wilbur" Smith, 73, died Sunday, January 9, 2011 at his home in Ft. Pierce, Florida after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.

Mr. Smith was born in Bleckley, Georgia. He moved to Ft. Pierce in 1954.
Mr. Smith was a semi- truck driver for Tropicana where he retired after 21 years. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and mowing. He was a kid at heart, and his sense of humor was one of a kind.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jeanie Smith of Ft. Pierce, daughter Debbi (Nat)Brancaccio of Ft. Pierce, daughter Linda (Brad) Williams of Ft. Pierce, son Michael (Nancy) Smith of Ft. Pierce, granddaughter Christina (Patrick) Donnelly of Ft. Pierce, grandson David (Kim) Brancaccio of Port St. Lucie, grandson Robert (Ashley) Kidd of Port St. Lucie, granddaughter Arianna Brancaccio of Ft. Pierce, granddaughter Courteney Kendall of Ft. Pierce, grandson Cody Kendall of Ft. Pierce, granddaughter Savannah Williams of Ft. Pierce, a great -granddaughter Olivia Donnelly of Ft. Pierce, brother-in-law Chick Hayeck of Ft. Pierce, four nieces, and three nephews.

Memorial Contributions may be sent to Treasure Coast Hospice.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 6-8 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
