William Bruce

William Bruce, 80, died on August 15, 2012 in Martin Memorial Hospital after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. His family was by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord.

Bill was born in Northfield, Ohio to Alexander and Jeanne Bruce. He graduated from North Canton High School, Ohio in 1950 and from Kent State University in 1958. He leaves his wife, Nancy with whom he had just celebrated a 57th wedding anniversary.

Bill was employed for over 50 years in the ceramic tile industry. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Alaska. He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Nancy Bruce; daughter, Barbi Moline and son-in-law, Doug Moline, and grandson, Nathan Brown and great-grandson, Evan Sullivan; his son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Peggy Bruce, and grandson, Joshua and his wife, Lindsay Bruce, grandson, Daniel and his wife, Amanda Bruce, and granddaughters, Elisabeth and Rebekah Bruce. He is also survived by his sister, Catherine Minter and his nephew, Bruce Minter and sister-in-law, Donna Sumser of North Canton, OH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Grace Presbyterian Church, 1875 Britt Road, Stuart, FL 34994, with Pastor Bernie Van Eyk officiating. Burial will follow at 1:45 PM at the Veteran’s Cemetery at 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
