Mr. Cavanaugh was born in Columbia, South Carolina and moved to Port St. Lucie 11 years ago coming from Oakland Park, Florida.
He was a mechanic and a Veteran of the Army Reserves.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Lisa Cavanaugh of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons, William Basil Cavanaugh of Pompano, FL and Anthony Cavanaugh of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter, Meagan Cavanaugh of Port St. Lucie, FL; parents, William D. & Helen Cavanaugh of Port St. Lucie, FL; 3 grandchildren, Rylee, Nichole and William Nicholas Cavanaugh.
Services: A gathering will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 2-3PM with a service to follow at 3:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
