Bill Shaun Dodson, 49, died on March 13, in Fort Pierce, FL. He was born in Springfield, MA and moved to Fort Myers in 1969, coming from Springfield, MA.
He was a Senior Claims Adjuster for an insurance company. He graduated from The Canterbury School in 1979 and received a Bachelor Degree in Sociology from Stetson University in 1984. He was a member of Sigma NU Fraternity, the Kiwanis Club Iona McGregor of Fort Myers, a supporter of the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation and American Diabetes Foundation. He loved Florida State Football and fishing.
He is survived by his father; Charles W. Dodson of Fort Myers, mother; Ann F. Dodson of Fort Myers, brother; Sheldon (LaDeene) L. Dodson of Fort Pierce, sister; Sharon K. Childress of Leawood, KS, nephews; Brandon C. Dodson and Blake C. Dodson both of Fort Pierce, niece; Brooklyn A. McDonald of Leawood, KS.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1101 North Lake Destiny Road #415, Maitland, FL 32751.
Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 from 5-6 PM with a service to followat 6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home.
