William David Farr, Sr., 86, died April 1, 2012 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Farr was born in Cairo, Georgia and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1960 coming from Thomasville, Georgia.
He retired from Rinker Concrete after 25 years. He was very proud of his membership and being an usher at Southside Baptist and First Baptist Church of Port St. Lucie.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Rhoda L. Farr of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter; Ruth Gahn of Ft. Pierce, FL, sons, James L. Richards of Rockledge, FL, Thomas E. Richards of Orlando, FL and Kenneth A. Richards of Inverness, FL; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons, William D. Farr, Jr. and Donald G. Richards, sister, Glorianna Cleary.
Memorial contributions may be made in William’s name to First Baptist Church of Port St. Lucie, c/o Building Fund, 115 N. E. Solida Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983.
Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 from 10-11 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM at Haisley Funeral Home.
