William Thomas Folbrecht or as many knew him as “Tommy” saddled up his horse for a roundup in the heavens on April 28, 2017.
If you knew Tommy than you know that he touched a lot of lives and was one of the most gracious persons still around. Tommy was always helping someone and never asked for anything. He was his own man in many ways but he was his father’s son through and through. No matter the task, Tommy had a plan and knew the best way get the job done. For years, he worked 7 days a week and would always remind us that if you wanted something you would have to work hard for it. Tommy spent his time building a life of love, laughter and hope. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed all the time he could spend with them. He laughed at us and with us and made the times together full of happiness. He hoped that he made his father proud and hoped that he had taught his children enough about life so that when his time came they would be there for each other. He also hoped for peace and solidarity among everyone he knew.
Tommy was a cowboy, fisherman, hunter, son, brother, father, grandfather and a unifier of people. If there was ever a person that could bring people together, it was Tommy and he knew that food would do the trick to get us all there. One thing is for certain, Tommy never hated anyone or anything and would do everything in his power to help anyone. He may have had a hard exterior that seemed as hard as a rock, he was stubborn enough too but on the inside, he was a gentle soul with a heart of gold. We remember him as one of the last of his time that still had faith in a good handshake and his integrity ever resolute. Tommy will forever be in our hearts and minds but we know that he is happy to be with his mom and dad and his daughter, Heather again.
