Mr. Hettich was born in Queens and raised in West Islip, Long Island, New York and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida.
He was a heavy equipment operator and loved wood working. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his sons, Justin Hettich and Joshua Hettich both of South Carolina; grandchildren, Caroline Hettich and Waylon Hettich; sister, Joan Lipp of New York; sister, Christine Keane of Seattle; brother, James Hettich of Florida; sister, Rita Greco of New York; sister, Helene Shanley of Florida as well as numerous loving nephews, nieces, cousins, and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur J. Hettich and mother, Helen Hettich.
