Mr. Shugrue was born in Waterbury, Connecticut and a former resident of Southbury Connecticut, who moved to Florida in 1992. He was a devoted family man who loved the Florida sun and its beaches.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Margaret Shugrue of Ft. Pierce; sons Greg Shugrue of Southbury, CT, and Christian Shugrue of Newtown CT; along with 5 grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Graziosa of Waterbury, CT.
