William W. Jones, 85, died May 28, 2013 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Jones was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1994 coming from Valley Stream, Long Island, New York.
He was a retired detective sergeant with the Detective Division in Mineola, New York. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during WWII. He was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed going to the beach and his dogs.
Survivors include his son, Robert G. Jones of Fairfield, CA; grandson, Jason Jones of Wellington, FL. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard W. Jones.
A memorial service will be held on June 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Golden Ponds Club House. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service. An online guest book may be signed at www.haisleyfuneralhome.com
