William Joseph McKay, Sr., 80, died July 19, 2009 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. McKay was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1966.
Prior to retirement, William worked for the Miami Herald and the Tribune newspapers as Circulation Manager. He was a Veteran of the Air National Guard serving during the Korean War, 50 year member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, member of the American Legion and of St. Anastasia Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Serena M. McKay of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, William McKay, Jr. of Ft. Pierce, FL and Jerome McKay of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughters, Katherine McKay, Serena Deatley and Christina Garwood all of Ft. Pierce, FL, Patricia McKay of Baltimore, MD and Rose McKay of Ft. Pierce, FL; brother, Robert McKay of Indianapolis, IN; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 24, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Anastasia Catholic Church.
