William Olney

William Bailey Olney, “Pops”, died September 18, 2003. He was born in East Providence, Rhode Island and was a resident of Fort Pierce. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #248 and a member of the AmVets Post 0015. He served in the Coast Guards during WWII.He is preceded in death by his wife, Fern C. Olney and son, Joseph McCarthy and his parents, Emma Bailey Olney and Harold Rhodes Olney.Survivors include his sister, Betty Westcott and husband Elli Westcott of Massachusetts; his two sons, Paul Henry McCarthy, William Patrick McCarthy, Jr. and his wife Betty Love McCarthy; six grandchildren, Laurie Ann McCarthy, Shena Love McCarthy, Megan Lee McCarthy, P.J. McCarthy, Skylar Heather McCarthy, Paul Michael McCarthy and three great-grandchildren; Shawn Patrick McCarthy, Cole McCarthy and Jaida Stephanie McCarthy.
Pops hobbies were his garden of vegetables, growing plants, bowling and cooking.
