Bill “Babe” Jahn
William Robert Jahn Sr., 88, died April 20, 2010
He was born in New Brunswick, NJ and grew up in the Dumont/Bergenfield area. After serving in the US Marine Corps, much of his life was spent working in the restaurant/ hospitality business. Bill and his late older brother Fred were partners in turning the former “THE FARMS” restaurant in Woodcliff Lake, NJ into a thriving wedding reception/catering business, the “Woodcliff Manor.” He sold the business, retired at “50”, moved to Florida with his family, and spent the last 38 years living in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.
Bill often referred to himself as “Blunt Bill”, but his family, friends, and many acquaintances were more likely to see him as “Sweet William”.
His beloved late wife Beatrice died on April 30, 2009. He is survived by his three children, William R. Jahn Jr. of Brattleboro, VT; Nancy Campbell of Port St. Lucie; Joseph Jahn of Avon Park; his sister Helen (Jahn) Banks of Montvale, NJ; his four grandchildren, Christine Campbell of Winter Springs, FL; Craig Campbell of Port St. Lucie, FL; Kalle Jahn and Linnea Jahn of Brattleboro, VT.

SERVICES: An informal gathering of family and friends took place at Lefty’s Wings and Grill in PSL on April 21st.
