William T. Harned, Sr.

William T. “Bill” Harned, Sr., 81, died February 9, 2012 in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Mr. Harned was born in Harvey, Illinois and moved to St. Lucie County in 1975 coming from Chicago Heights, IL,

He was a member of St. Lucie Catholic Church and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force. He enjoyed dancing, playing golf and poker, boating, fishing, and flying small aircrafts.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Patricia Harned of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons, William T. Harned, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL, Timothy M. Harned of Liberty, MO, Howard Harned of Palm City, FL, and Tony Harned of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughters, Charlene Olive of Atlanta, GA, Micki Lance of Port St. Lucie, FL, Bernadette Gelardo of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Mary Schneider of Summerville, SC; sister, Lucille Hess of Plant City, FL; brothers, Bob Harned of Wisconsin, George Harned of Griffin, GA, David Harned of Illinois, Jimmy Harned of Wisconsin; 23 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Lucie Catholic Church, 425 S. W. Irving Street, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983.

Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 5-8 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Lucie Catholic Church .
