Willie Kathryn Thompson Forbes, 90, passed away on April 5, 2023 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mrs. Forbes was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce, Florida and was proud of being a Fort Pierce native.

Willie served faithfully at her church, Southside Christian as the organist, pianist and choir director but was most proud of the Wee Singers.  She retired from the Saint Lucie County School District after many years of being a school secretary.  She was devoted to God, her family, and especially to her beloved Pete. 

Survivors include her son, Steven (Kathryn) Forbes of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter, Kathryn M. Jenkins of Fort Pierce, FL; grandchildren, Jason Colville, Aaron (Emily) Forbes, Kristy (Shawn) Blouin  and Rachel (Chris) Halluska; 9 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman “Pete” W. Forbes, Jr.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Southside Christian Church, 3822 Edwards Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.

Services:  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. An online guest book may be signed at www.haisleyfuneralhome.com
