Mr. Vannoy was born in Creston, NC and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1957 from Fleetwood, NC.
He was the owner/operator of Van’s TV in Ft. Pierce for 14 years. He was also a chief security officer at Jai-Alai for 12 years. He was a veteran in the U.S. Navy in WWII.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lorraine D. Vannoy of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughters, Bonnie Lundy of Niangua, MO, Denise Combs and husband Michael of Fleetwood, NC, and Dorothy Buxton of Ft. Pierce, FL; son, Dennis Vannoy and wife Terri of Fleetwood, NC; sisters, Violet Vannoy of Fleetwood, NC, Iris Watson of Deep Gap, NC, and Dawn Houck of Fleetwood, NC; brothers, Leonard and Jay Vannoy both of Winston Salem, NC; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and he was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Vannoy and sister, Christine Leonard.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Treasure Coast, PO Box 1748, Ft.
