Zelda Mckelvey Silvis

Zelda McKelvey Silvis, 83, died October 27, 2007 in Stafford Springs, Connecticut.Mrs. Silvis was born in Kittanning, Pennsylvania and was a part time resident of Fort Pierce for 14 years coming from West Hartford, Connecticut.
She was a registered nurse, retiring from Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT in 1991. She graduated from Westmoreland Hospital School of Nursing in 1945 ranking number 1 in her class. She was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Hartford, CT.Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Daniel J. Silvis, Jr. of West Hartford, CT and Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, Daniel J. (Patricia) Silvis III of Yorktown, VA, Thomas W. (Sharon) Silvis of Flushing, MI and Dr. Timothy R. Silvis of Enfield, CT; daughters, Barbara (Bill) Schwenger of Ft. Pierce, FL and Elizabeth Robins of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Diana (Kevin) Lee and Kimberly (Jerry) Moore, Karin (Barry) Picchiarini, Lauralee (Joshua) Moberg, John and William Schwenger, Virginia and Matthew Silvis, Daniel, Renee and Lauren Silvis, Ashley, Drew, Paige and Tyler Robins; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emilee and Dakota Moberg, Skylar Picchiarini, Abigail, Joshua and Megan Lee, Zoe and Samantha Moore; brothers, Robert (Betty) McKelvey of Ruffs Dale, PA and John (Mary) McKelvey of Greensburg, PA; 5 nieces and 3 nephews.Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2007 from 9:30-11:00 AM at Haisley Funeral Home. A service will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery. .com
